In order to monetize your videos on YouTube, you’ll need to have an account in the YouTube Partner Program. Once you become a partner, you’ll be able to enable monetization on your videos. This will allow YouTube to place ads in, around, or before your videos. When someone watches an ad, you’ll earn money.
1) First, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements for the YouTube Partner Program. In order to be approved as a partner, your account must:
Be in good standing
Have over 4,000 hours of watch time in the past 12 months
Have at least 1,000 subscribers
2) Enable monetization on your channel. In order to do this, open your channel settings and click on the Monetization tab. From there, you can toggle monetization on or off.
3) Connect your channel to an AdSense account. Once monetization is enabled, you’ll need to connect your channel to an AdSense account in order to start earning money.
